New Chapter: Explore the World

Atlanta via Stevens Point, Milwaukee and Nashville

Bob and I have arrived in Atlanta for a 5 day visit with Ann, Bob’s sister. Thank you Ann! We left Copper Harbor on Aug 7th, and stopped in Stevens Point to see my mom and brother Kip. We were greeted with a wonderful meal of chicken cacciatore and blueberry dessert – YUM – Thanks Mom.

Winnie’s home awaited us in Milwaukee where we attended the crazy and lovely Moss Wedding.

We left Milwaukee on Sunday, drove to Elizabethtown, IN (great name) for an uneventful overnight and landed in Nashville late Monday morning. We had lunch at the famous Tooties Bar. We heard Jessie Keith Whitley and Scott Collier. The music and the boys truly entertained. Tootsies is a must if you ever get to Nashville.

We headed back to the hotel for a quick regrouping, a nap, and returned downtown for more food and live music. This time we heard Tim Bridges at the Honky Tank Bar. In a nutshell, Nashville rocks!

We tried to get into open mic at the Blue Bird Cafe, but the lines were too long and they had hit their capacity. Bob went later that night to catch the last 40 minutes of the second set. For those that know me well, I was sleeping by then. (I like to sleep).

We were up early the next morning, on the road and  had a picnic lunch at Point Park on top of Look Out Mountain in Chattanooga, TN. The park had amazing views and a great path for a quick walk to stretch the car legs.  So, as I said, we are now at Ann’s relaxing and catching up.

Sunday we leave for Philadelphia to help Joey and Molly move in.

  1. Glad you 2 are safe and well. Been thinking of you and I thought you’d be in Atlanta by now. Enjoy! Who shot the video? Well done!! LOVE

    • I agree with Lynn…outstanding video compilation of photos/song! You are a master so quickly with your new camera toy and other technology.

    • It’s not a video exactly. I am using iMovie. You just drop the photos into it and it plays like a movie. So far, I have learned to add a caption, shorten or lengthen the time you see a picture and how to add my own music. Yesterday I noticed that I can record my voice. Hmmm. What to do with that?! Miss you too and thinking of you every time I have my camera to my eye.

  2. Good old rocky top! Rocky Top, TN. Enjoy the journey and keep capturing these stories for all of us.

  3. Sounds like a good time. Nice video!
